The morning was so beautiful it would have been pity to sleep long. Pasi even had a quick swim in the old harbour soon after six a´clock. Refreshing - so he said when asked about the temperature of the water. Roope and Irma came down early from their attick chamber and Seija was also up.
The breakfast was served in the kitchen with plastic bags full of food and other things all over the small room. Roope and Pasi decided to make some extra shelfs as soon as Pasi first had fixed the refrigerator which works with gas. It did not take them very long to do the work and Irma could clear the surrounding chaos.
Suddenly Pasi alarmed everybody. There was a big white ship coming straiht to Märket. Teija worried about the shop not being ready yet for tourist customers. The ship Birka Paradise the turned and passed Märket but we heard from ship´s loudspeakers that somebody was telling about the ligthouse to the passangers.
The area behind the storehouse is now protected. Three birds are nesting there and we do not want to disturb them. Otherwise we have not seen so very many birds yet. Roope and Pasi took the small red rowing boatand started the fishing season by laying this special trap, katiska in Finnish, to the water. We are now looking forward to getting fresh fish for dinner some day.
The building materials brought here were waiting on the cliffs to be stored somewhere safe from possible rain showers. That heavy work was going on the whole afternoon. Maaret checked Lilla Märket and what did she find. A christmas tree quite well preserved.
The green colour and the nice smell were still left. A christmas tree is however disposable and now cut to pieces.
