During the night wind turned south and the fishing flag moved away from
our shore line. Now we need wind from west to get it back. So the
lessons learned was: we have to be faster next time. Now we have all
tools ready: long rope, grapnel hook and life-jackets for the rescue team.



Temperature is going down little by little. Today it was only +7.5
centigrade in the afternoon. Wind was in south. Now we need put fire
once a day to each "dwarf". Today we put fire first time also to kitchen
stove even though we used gas cooker three times. So we need quite much
fire wood.



We collect fire wood from the storage. They have been brought to Märket
already in summer 2010. We have measured their humidity to be about 12
to 14 percent. Air humidity is typically now from 80 to 100 percent, so
fire wood is not drying anymore, but getting wet. We use a very handy
carrying case to move fire wood from the storage to fire wood boxes in
every room. One case carries wood enough for heating one stove twice.



Some of fire woods are too big and they are chopped to smaller pieces.
It is much easier to put fire when fire wood is smaller. This is
extremely good physical training outside in fresh air, but also a little
pit dangerous. Here we can use lighthouse keepers` luxurious extra time
and slow down.



The fire wood storage we now use is the most farthest of all storages.
There are about 50 steps in stairs up to the attic room. We have also
one fire wood storage on the second floor. In really bad weather we
cannot go to the ground level at all.



In stairs it is easier to carry only one case at a time. Here we slow
down, too.



And finally it is time to put fire.
