The weather is changing. Wind has turned to S, 5-6 m/s, 4 C.
If the sunset last night was beautiful the sunrise this morning was absolutely spectacular. The picture below shows the scenery which we were able to admire from the kithcen window on our breakfast.
We finally managed to capture our eagle on film! But the flying bird is not that big in the picture that it would be worth publishing on this web page since it could hardly be seen at such a low resolution.
Anyway, today we feel really successful. Johanna baked delicious bread rolls because we are running out of fresh bread.
Pekka made the last measurements to confirm that all the lighthouse batteries are fully charged.
We also found a new attraction from this tiny reef, a ?hiidenkirnu? (pothole), from one of the ponds. Perhaps it was generally known already before but at least we did not know about its existence.
More success stories we learned by e-mail from the previous crew, Harri and Olli. On their way to Eckerö they found the fishing flag they tried to rescue on Märket (see the diary on 4.11.). The result of this unbelievable achievement is proudly presented by Olli in the picture.
On a cloudy night it is as dark here as can possibly be. The only things we can see are the blinking lights of the sea marks in the distant horizon and the lights of occasional ships passing. And of course, Märket light every 6th seconds.
