It is already April, should be spring, warm and sunny, birds singing! But in reality we had freezing cold wind from the north, cliffs covered by ice.

First thing in the morning was to put fire in the stoves. For some magical reason the smoke decided not to travel up the chimney but rather come down to the rooms. Same thing with every stove.

Earlier we had not had any problems with heating. Perhaps the wind was simply from a wrong direction. After opening the door downstairs and the hatch in the tower the smoke finally found its right route through the chimney to the clear blue sky.

Back to work! Pete started to paint the rack of the lifter winch which he had installed last summer. He also cut open a barrel which Johanna and Pekka needed in cleaning of the boiler room.
