Mother's Day morning and what a beautiful one at that. The wind had died down during the night and now we know that Mats is coming around one pm. We will probably have to use a small boat (Mats' Buster or the rubberboat) to get onboard the Sefyr, but that is o.k.
The morning has been used to do some cleaning up of both the lighthouse and ourselves. We have to remember that we are soon going to be among “people”.
An undertone of sadness due to leaving this beautiful place is effecting us all, but still it feels good to have (once again) spent a week here on Märket. We got a few things done, some other ones under way and a few we left for future crews to sort out.
We saw the sea and sky in quite a few different variations. Luckily for us, the real storm did not hit us this time although that would also have been worth seeing.
The bags are packed, the floors cleaned and hot water is on the boil for the next crew. And we are ready to welcome them and hope they enjoy their stay as much as we did. Bye bye from this crew and all the best to all Märket volunteers.

… and we new lighthousekeepers getting ready for our week
Slow coming towards the lighthouse was waiting and sleeping in different places.
Meeting Mats and getting on the board.
Packing up the most important: food and water.
The new crew happy to start it's week on Märket.
What a beautiful day this mothers' day, greetings to all mothers!
Orientating to the landscape.
